Schedule For Nfl

With their current Collective Bargaining Agreement set to expire late this year, a possible lockout could be on the horizon for the National Football League. Any thought of a work stoppage aside, though, the NFL has been discussing increasing its regular season schedule for nearly a year now.

Since switching from a 14-game schedule to a 16-game schedule in 1977, the NFL has been successful selling themselves as they were able to put fans in the seats and increase their revenue with lucrative television deals.

Despite increasing their schedule during a recession and suffering two strikes (1982, 1987) along the way, the NFL has always seemed to find a way to come out on top. The league has taken a hit over the last couple of seasons thanks to the world's economic crisis but they have been strong nonetheless.
